Corrugated boxes are inherently one of the most environmentally friendly packaging solutions. Surpassing glass, aluminum and plastic, corrugated board is more likely to be recycled than any other product. Nearly 93% of all corrugated boxes are recovered for recycling and can be recycled more than once. At Welch packaging 91% of our scrap is captured, baled and provided back to our corrugator to be recycled.
Additionally, we recycle 100% of our plastic banding straps, implemented advanced wastewater treatment systems and energy-efficient lighting systems.
We are committed to provide our customers with custom cardboard boxes that will maximize the strength and effectiveness of a structure using a minimal amount of material.
Our Chicago location is proudly certified to the Sustainable Forestry Initiative ® Certified Sourcing Standard. The SFI program promotes responsible forestry practices.
